NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training
This course starts the journey for teacher training in the post-compulsory education sector. It consists of 3 units which guides you towards understanding the basic requirements for those who want to know more about the teaching role.
You’re not on your own, you will be allocated a personal tutor who is there to support you as you go through the course. You can work at you own pace to complete this course with an average time for completion anywhere between 4 weeks and 6 months. On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate by the awarding body NCFE.
For your reference you can download your personal tracking sheet. This document allows you to see the required criteria and how they will be assessed.
This does not need to be straight away but an observation of your teaching is part of the assessment. This can be a voluntary teaching session. If you are not align with an organisation do contact us to see what can be arranged.

You will be assessed in a number of ways. Click on the tabs to see how this will be done.
You will see the assessments at the bottom of relevant pages. They will look similar to the image shown.
You will find the notes pages at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. when you open the screen. If accessing the notes page is difficult you can add your notes to a word processing programme.
Have a try – click on the notes icon and add your name and date.
As mentioned above, there will be one session you will need to teach and be observed.
It may be that we need to clarify some information on one of the assessments or have a chat about some of your knowledge in a a particular area. This may be done through email, online or face to face.
